Across the Lake Victoria bioregion of Uganda and Kenya, five pioneering grassroots organizations are leading the Blossom East Africa cohort from 2026–2028. Entering the Co-Design Phase, a month-long collaborative process, marks the beginning of a transformative two-year journey.

Boma Ikolojia Regeneration Kanyerus brings a holistic focus on nature conservation, land regeneration, and water management they are working to restore the ecological foundations that sustain community wellbeing.

Karambi Group of People with Disabilities focuses on rehabilitation and livelihoods for people with disabilities, integrating permaculture principles into family and community life, a powerful example of inclusion at the intersection of social and ecological regeneration.

Pastoralists Syntropic Dryland Centre tackles some of the most pressing challenges in arid landscapes: nature conservation, water management, regenerative rangelands, and the development of value-added forest and food-related microenterprises for pastoralist communities.
The Co-design Process
From May 11 to June 11, Regenerosity, YICE Uganda, Re-Alliance, and Permaculture Impact, will facilitate a paid co-design phase where Blossom partners can weave their values, vision, context, and goals into a project plan. Between sessions, organizations are encouraged to take conversations back into their communities to ensure the project is shaped and refined during the co-design phase by the wider community. We will be hosting an entrepreneurial workshop, given by previous Blossom cohort partners, YICE Uganda, aimed at increasing long-term financial sustainability through the experience in similar contexts.
The result of the co-design phase is to produce a full two-year project design: goals, activities, milestones, a complete timeline, and a budget. Following the co-design phase, Blossom partners and Regenerosity can enter into the full two year capacity strengthening program with shared values.
