From Alignment to Action: Blended Finance for Systemic Change
Part 2 of the 2026 Series: Moving Money in Service of Life (watch Part 1 here)
Recorded: Tuesday, 4 August 2026
Hosted by Regenerosity and Transition Resource Circle as part of the Nurture Funder Community of Practice.
About the Moving Money in Service of Life series
In our first webinar, From Paradox to Coherence, we explored the contradiction between philanthropic purpose and investment practices that continue to reinforce extractive systems, and heard from practitioners working to bring greater coherence across their portfolios and institutions.
This next conversation asked a practical question: What does it actually take to move capital differently?
Blended finance is often understood as a set of financial tools that combine grants, recoverable finance, guarantees, impact investments and other forms of catalytic capital. But these approaches also require new ways of understanding value, sharing power, governing resources, and building relationships across philanthropy, investment and communities.
This session invited funders, wealth holders, advisors and intermediaries to explore how blended capital approaches are being used in practice to support regenerative and community-led futures. Together, we examined both the financial structures and the deeper cultural and psychological shifts needed to move money in service of life.
Our speakers brought perspectives from across the ecosystem, including:
- Leaders working on community wealth-building, philanthropy and social change;
- Investors and funders using catalytic capital to support regenerative and community-led futures;
- Practitioners bridging finance, philanthropy and governance to move capital differently;
- Ecosystem builders connecting investors, entrepreneurs, philanthropies and communities in service of more life-serving economies.

Inez Stefanie – Supernova Equatora Capital
In this conversation, we explored how blended capital approaches work in practice and what it takes — financially, culturally and relationally — to move money in ways that support regenerative and community-led futures. We also looked at how ideas of risk, return and value are being redefined, and what funders, advisors and intermediaries can do to help capital serve life more coherently.
Whether you are a funder, wealth holder, philanthropic advisor, investor or ecosystem weaver, this is a grounded and practical conversation exploring how blended finance can help shift capital towards more just, regenerative and life-serving economies. This session was part of the Nurture Funder Community of Practice, a community of practice convened by Regenerosity and Be the Earth, dedicated to mobilising capital in ways that are more trust-based, decolonial, coherent and inclusive.
